This is specially interesting for American citizens and Brazilian ones who frequently feel nothing but apathy for living here instead of US. According to the Global Peace Index, we’re scoring at 74th place, compared to USA’s 82nd place.

We still have a long way towards development (specially when it comes to violence, quality of treatment of neighbor countries, human rights, quality of political awareness, separation of State and Church, social prejudice, corruption and such), but we’re not far behind on the race towards development.
